Do you have a smoothie that you can drink every day and not get tired of it? This Tropical Smoothie is so refreshing and tasty that I am making it almost daily. I am craving it as I am writing about it, so… You know what? I’ll be right back.

Now that I have a glass of it by my side, I can talk more about it.

Why I love this Tropical Smoothie

There are so many good things I'd like to say about this Tropical Smoothie:

  • IT'S SIMPLE. Only 4 ingredients here.
  • IT'S VERSATILE. You can easily customize it to your liking.
  • IT'S COLORFUL. Just look at this sun-filled glass!
  • IT'S HEALTHY. Just fruits and coconut water.
  • IT'S TASTY. Oh, yes! It's so tasty!

What do you put in Tropical Smoothie?

I find that the combination of bananas, frozen mangoes, and frozen pineapple works the best. But frozen papaya, guava, jackfruit, or strawberries could be added as well.

Of course, you can use fresh fruit here. I love buying frozen fruit because it’s super convenient, and some may argue that it is equally nutritious when compared to fresh fruit. I drink smoothies every day, so you can find all kinds of frozen fruit in my freezer. (I do eat a lot of fresh fruit, too).

Note: if you are using only fresh fruits in this recipe, add 1 cup of ice.

Coconut Water VS. Coconut Milk

You can use coconut water or coconut milk in this Tropical Smoothie recipe. I prefer coconut water because it makes the smoothie lighter and more refreshing. But coconut milk adds a creamy feel to the smoothie, so you may like it even more. Both coconut water and coconut milk are very healthy. I even enjoy mixing them together. Please note that I am referring to Dairy Free Coconut Milk Alternative, not the full-fat coconut milk. I absolutely LOVE this Vita Coco Coconut Milk!

Would love to try this but what could I use as alternative to frozen mango as I am allergic to mangos and still get a refreshing tropical taste?
