Our 17 month old was going to bed at 8 pm and slept through until 7-7:30am. It was wonderful. Then ten days ago she started waking up at 4-5 am and screaming like mad. We give her ibprofuen (for teething ) before bed but wondering if it’s wearing off at 5am?
She will not go back to sleep for at least 30 minutes later - and not in her crib, we just sleep with her in our bed (she’s huge for her age so we think this is safe) but again, it’s barely sleeping bc she’s kicking us in the face the rest of the early morning
She’s a late walker but very close to walking, and her molars are coming in. So we think this could just be all the things happening at once. But hoping anyone out there can confirm this is temporary?? We are so tired lol… thanks mommas!

Sounds like a temporary phase to me! Cutting molars is literally the worst. My daughter had the worst sleep for the full month it took hers to cut. Learning how to walk could play a part too as babies will often have disrupted sleep when close to mastering a new skill. I don't remember howong it lasted, but we went through a period of early wake ups for a while. Eventually things did get back to normal. We even slept in til 7:30 this weekend, and I felt like I was in Heaven!

from what I can tell it's a normal regression. at about 15 months we went through two weeks of nightly wake ups again and also 5am wake ups, which was ROUGH. but now at 17m, he's back to his regular 6/6:30 wake ups which is a lot better. it was just a phase around when he was starting to fully walk.

I feel for you! my lo has been all over the place with sleep the past couple weeks. bedtime was routinely 730pm and wake up bw 630 and 715am.
a couple nights bedtime was 1030pm and we were able to work back down to 730pm-830pm. but recently she had a 3am wake up with difficulty going back to sleep and a 5 am wake up difficulty going back to sleep. all to just wake by 7am anyway lol
she's picking up on a ton of new words and she has molars and incisors breaking through.
I wish I had advice. but here for the camaraderie. you're not alone!!
